My name’s Kayleigh. I have a daughter who’s two years old and a baby boy who’s just eight weeks. My breastfeeding journey started with my first, and we had hoped that things would go more smoothly the second time—but it hasn’t quite turned out that way.

With my daughter, it was really difficult. She had a tongue tie that wasn’t discovered until day five, by which point she’d already lost 14% of her birth weight. It was missed because we weren’t properly discharged and no one came on day one. It just felt like one barrier after another…read more
